Can Mauritian Nationals travel to Germany? Yes

ONLY for Vaccinated travelers.
People who have been in Brazil, China (People’s Rep.), or Uruguay in the past 10 days

Will I need a PCR test? Yes

Travelers must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before entering Germany.

Will I need to be vaccinated to travel there? Yes

Accepted Vaccines:
Pfizer – 14 days after second dose.
AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) – 14 days after second dose.
AstraZeneca (India) – 14 days after second dose.
Johnson & Johnson – 14 days after first dose.
Moderna – 14 days after second dose.

Will I have to undergo a quarantine or isolation?

Travellers who stayed in a ‘high-risk area’ in the last 10 days before arrival must self-quarantine for up to 10 days, unless they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered from the virus.

Travellers who arrive from a ‘virus variant area’ must self-quarantine for 14 days, regardless of vaccination or recovery from the virus.

Will I need a Visa?

Nationals of Mauritius are exempted visa for a maximum stay of 90 days.                                                                    

At the moment, citizens of Mauritius do not need a visa to travel to the Schengen Area.

What are the documents that I will need?

Travellers who visited or transited through a COVID-19 high-risk area or virus variant area within 10 days of their planned arrival must complete the Digital Registration on Entry prior to arrival here.
