Itinerary:
Day 1
Antananarivo – Arrival in Antananarivo. Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport, meet and greet followed by a transfer to Le Grand Urban Hotel.

Antananarivo, known as the “City of the Thousands,” is the capital of Madagascar and the political and economic heart of the island. Situated in the central highlands at around 1,250 metres above sea level, the city offers a rich blend of history, culture, and daily local life. Depending on arrival time, a brief city introduction may include its lively markets, traditional crafts, and historic Upper Town landmarks such as the Rova of Manjakamiadana, the former Prime Minister’s Palace of Andafiavaratra, and other heritage buildings of central Imerina.

Overnight at Le Grand Urban Hotel.

Day 2
Antananarivo – Antsirabe – Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Antsirabe (165 km / approx. 4 hours) via Ambatolampy with a stop to visit a traditional aluminium foundry, where local artisans craft kitchen utensils from recycled aluminium materials using traditional techniques.

Continue to Antsirabe, a charming thermal city known as the “Vichy of Madagascar,” famous for its mineral springs, volcanic lakes, and colonial architecture. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour by rickshaw, exploring its wide avenues, artisanal workshops, and vibrant local atmosphere.

Dinner and overnight at Arotel Hotel.

Day 3
Antsirabe – Ampefy – Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to Lake Andraikiba, a scenic volcanic lake surrounded by peaceful landscapes and local legends.

Continue to Ampefy (154 km / approx. 4 hours), crossing the highlands and rural countryside of Madagascar. Ampefy is a tranquil eco-tourism destination known for its volcanic terrain, fresh air, and over 40 lakes formed by ancient volcanic activity spread across the region.

Dinner and overnight at Eucalyptus Hotel.

Day 4
Ampefy – Breakfast at the hotel. Full day at leisure to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Ampefy.

This region is ideal for relaxation and nature appreciation, offering beautiful volcanic landscapes, lakes, and traditional village life. Optional activities include nature walks, scenic viewpoints, or discovering local culture at your own pace.

Dinner and overnight at Eucalyptus Hotel.

Day 5
Ampefy – Antananarivo – Breakfast at the hotel. Drive back to Antananarivo (127 km / approx. 3 hours) with a stop en route at Lemur’s Park, a private reserve home to several species of lemurs such as sifakas, ring-tailed lemurs, and ruffed lemurs. The animals roam freely in a protected environment, offering an excellent opportunity for close observation.

Continue to Antananarivo and transfer to Le Grand Urban Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6
Antananarivo – Departure – Breakfast at the hotel. Morning city tour of Antananarivo’s Upper Town, including a visit to the historic Rova of Manjakamiadana, the former royal palace of the Merina Kingdom and one of the city’s most iconic landmarks offering panoramic views of the capital.

After the tour, transfer to Ivato International Airport for your departure flight.
