ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival Cochin
Arrive at Cochin, there after you will drive to Kumarakom. The tourist village of Kumarakom lies in the scenic backwater area, on the shore of the pleasant Vembanad lake, 16 km away from Kottayam. Here an old rubber plantation around the lake has been developed into a bird sanctuary. A path goes through the swamp to the main nesting area, while the island in the middle of the lake can be reached by boat. Overnight in Kumarakom.
Day 2: Kumarakom
After leisurely breakfast enjoy the serene environs, rest of the day at leisure. (No vehicle will be provided). Overnight in Kumarakom.
Day 3: Kumarakom to Kovalam (Approx. 175 Kms/5 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kovalam. Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach. Upon arrival proceed for check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Kovalam.
Day 4: Kovalam
After breakfast proceed for half day city tour of Trivandrum. Visit Old Padmanabha Swami Temple (non-Hindus cannot enter), Napier Museum, Sri Chitra Art Gallery. Overnight in Kovalam.
Day 5: Kovalam
Full day at leisure. No vehicle will be provided. Overnight in Kovalam.
Day 6: Depart Kovalam
Breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed Trivandrum to International Airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
